Here is one original solution for when a hanok gets in the way at ground level – rebuild it on the roof! The lower floors of the building are used for a design studio and occasional art gallery. Though not immediately visible from street level, it can be seen if you look up and to your right from this location on Google Maps. It is two buildings to the right of the Thai restaurant.
