Namchu Lee was born in 1939 and spent her childhood in a hanok in Gahoe-dong. Later she lived in the USA before returning to Seoul. I interviewed here for the Hanoks – My Point of View videos series. In her video (Click the link below), she remembers the hanok of her childhood and reflects on her feelings about living both in hanoks and modern apartments. The photograph is a wedding photograph of her parents who were married at the family home in Kahoi-dong.
